In 2018:  The Centennial of the Diplomatic Courier Service (DCS) - A History & A Look Behind the Scenes into Centennial Work in Archives & Records

Mr. Brandt will speak about the history behind the Diplomatic Courier Centennial, with a focus on the evolution of paper and electronic information records for our embassies around the world.

"A Diplomatic Courier is an official of the U.S. Government who is properly trained and credentialed by the U.S. Secretary of State to accompany classified materials across international borders.

The Diplomatic Security Service has approximately 100 Diplomatic Couriers who provide secure and swift delivery of classified and sensitive materials between U.S. diplomatic missions and the U.S. Department of State." https://www.state.gov/m/ds/about/c77947.htm

Our chapter theme this year is: "Records Management: Not Just a Job - A Profession"
