The Boards of

ARMA NOVA, ARMA Metro Maryland

and the National Capital Chapter of AIIM

cordially invite you to a special

'Behind the Scenes' tour event at

The United States Capitol

Followed by a reception at

Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall

on the corner of 4th  Street, SE & Independence Avenue,

within 4 blocks of the US Capitol.

On December 14 at 1pm, we will meet at the North Entrance to the Capitol Visitor Center (at the US Capitol) with Mr. Tom Fontana, Director of Communications, Congressional  Relations & Special Events.   He'll guide us through history, intrigue and lore originating in corridors and historic rooms.  We'll enjoy beautiful art and artifacts unique to our American experience and history and hear the fascinating back-stories from a genuine expert on the Rotunda, Statuary Hall, the Crypt, the Old Senate Chamber, the Old Supreme Court Chamber, and much more.

After the tour, at 4:30 pm, we will proceed to the Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall for a festive reception of hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer and soft drinks.

Take Metrorail to this event.  The nearest Metro stops are Union Station (Red Line) and Capitol South (Silver, Orange & Blue Lines).  Finding on-street parking is a challenge!

Driving anyway?  Plentiful garage parking is available at Union Station, open 24-hours.  The garage is located at 30 Massachusetts Avenue, NE (Rate 2-10 hours:  $20).  Entrance ramps are from Mass Ave on the East side of Union Station, and by a ramp behind Union Station on H St, NE.  Be sure to wear your comfortable walking shoes!

Need Orientation for this adventure?  There's a great map of the US Capitol campus on the Capitol Visitor Center website.  Locate Union Station, the Capitol, Metro stops and more:  https://www.visitthecapitol.gov/plan-visit/maps-tips
